Altar Flowers

Celebrate or remember loved ones by sponsoring altar flowers. The sign up calendar is located outside the church office. Sponsorships are $25 per arrangement. Payment envelopes are available under the calendar.

Altar Guild

Consider working with the Altar Guild to help care for Immanuel’s worship spaces, linens, and communion ware. The group meets as a whole three times each year and volunteers typically serve on a team twice each year for one month at a time. Contact Penny in the church office to learn more.

Batavia Apartments

The management of the Batavia Apartments requests items not covered by LINC and are usually not available at the Pantry: body wash, diapers and wipes, toilet paper, bleach wipes, toilet cleaner. 

Bible Study Leader

Lead adults in studies that are Bible based and topical on Sunday mornings and possibly other times during the week. Contact Pr. Kennaugh to learn more.

Brass Ensemble

The ensemble welcomes those interested in contributing their skills as brass instrumentalists for special celebration worship services. Contact Sharon Dalpini.




Children’s Choir

Thursdays at 6 PM in the music room, beginning Aug. 23

Children entering K-G6 are invited to join Immanuel's Children's Choir to share songs and learn to play simple rhythm instruments in accompaniment. The children sing once or twice each month and participate in the annual Service of Lessons and Carols in December. Contact Sharon Dalpini with questions.

Christus Choir

Thursdays at 7 PM in the music room, beginning Aug. 16

Adults, high school age and up perform traditional sacred music at two to three worship services a month throughout the year. The also take the lead in the mass choir performance of The Service of Lessons and Carols in December. Contact Sharon Dalpini.


Work with Immanuel’s ministry directors on providing copy for press releases, Discover magazine, and other event marketing pieces. Contact Lori St.Vincent to learn more.



Distribute Posters

Visit local businesses and request that they allow ILCS to hang posters inviting the community to events hosted by Immanuel. Let Lori St.Vincent know you are willing to fill this need as it arises.

Event Committees

Be part of a development committee for an event at Immanuel like the annual OCC Packing Party or special off site events like Cinco de Mayo. Contact the Megan Popp regarding current and upcoming opportunites

Event Photographer

Attend Immanuel events, take some great candid or posed photos, email them to Lori St.Vincent for use in Immanuel print and marketing pieces! Contact Lori for complete information.



Fellowship Committee

Work with this team to take the lead in coordinating the fellowship portion of ILCS events. Contact Pr. Kennaugh to learn more.

Gardening Team

Get together with family and friends and spend some time together in the garden at Immanuel. Help with weeding, pruning, and watering is much appreciated. Contact Penny in the Church Office to learn more.


Graphic Designers

Work with Immanuel’s ministry areas, especially marketing and communications, on providing designs for posters, flyers, invitations, and social media for special events sponsored by ILCS.




Green Team

Use ILCS equipment to mow and trim the lawn on campus approximately one time each month. Contact Paul to learn more and/or to schedule your time slot.


Sign up for the date and service that best fits your schedule, then warmly welcome all to worship. If requested, share information on locations of nursery, drinking fountains, etc. The sign-up sheet is available on the ledge at the entrace to the sanctuary. Handbell Choir

This handbell choir prepares music for Christmas, Easter, and other festival services. Contact Sharon Dalpini.



ILS Classroom Reader

Read aloud to students in elementary grades as arranged by the classroom teacher. Contact Heidi and Judy in the School Office to learn more.

ILS Elective Leader

Share a talent or special knowledge with students in a half-day elective; ideas include artistic talents, model construction, computer skills, musical instruments, etc. Contact Heidi and Judy in the School Office to learn more.

ILS Club Leader

Share a talent or special knowledge with students by leading an afterschool club. Contact Donna Laughlin, Principal,  to learn more.



ILS Library Helper

Work with students as they search for the perfect book on Library Day! Contact Heidi and Judy in the School Office to learn more.

ILS Sports Coach

Work with other volunteers to coach students in cross country, track and field, basketball, volleyball, or cheerleading. Contact Sharon Dalpini, Athletic Director, for details.

ILS Tue. Lunch Supervisor

Sign up once or twice (or more) to work with other volunteers on Tuesdays to supervise the student lunch hour, giving the teachers a quiet lunch break once a week. Contact Heidi and Judy in the School Office to learn more.



Lay Readers

Share the weekly Bible readings in worship services. Each week’s readings are provided ahead of time by the church office. Contact Penny in the church office for details.

Operation Christmas Child Packing Party

Crayons, markers, pens, and pencils are being collected in August in preparation for the November OCC Packing Party. Financial donations to help cover the increasing cost of mailing the shoebox gifts is also very much appreciated. Contact Megan Popp to learn more.

Praise Team

Wednesdays at 7 PM in the sanctuary

The praise team sings contemporary Christian music and utilizes the talents of various instrumentalists. Members (high school through adult) are encouraged (but never required) to share their vocal talents in solos. Contact Pr. Eric Kennaugh.



Prayer Team

Pray from home or come to ILCS and spend time in prayer in the chapel. The current prayer list is supplied by the church secretary each week via email...or stop in and pick up a hard copy. Contact Penny in the church office to be added to this team.

Quarterly Blood Drive

(Sound and Light Team)

Help build service slide shows or work as screen commander during worship, advancing screens as needed. Contact Penny in the church office to learn more.





Raise money for ILCS and save money on everyday purchases! ShopWithScrip allows families to do both while purchasing items such as gas, groceries, and clothing. Retailers offer a rebate percentage; 55 percent of this rebate goes to ILCS and 45 percent is refunded to purchasers at the end of the school year. Complete information is available here.



Soloists enrich our worship from time to time, particularly at Christmas and Easter and during the summer months. They may also be called upon to enhance the choral offerings of the various choirs or to enliven hymns. If you have a talent as a vocal soloist or on a stringed instrument, horn, woodwind, piano or organ, we invite you to share your talents with in worship! Contact Sharon Dalpini.

Sunday School

Lead children through each week’s Sunday School lesson with help from additional classroom volunteers using materials supplied well ahead of class. Contact Children's Ministry Director Mary Wert to learn more.




Sunshine Committee

Brighten someone's day by delivering altar flowers to them after worship services. Sign up or learn more by contacting Penny in the church office.


Help worshippers locate seating, provide directions, locate large print copies or amplification devices, collect offerings and tithes, and provide other services as needed. Contact Penny in the church office to learn more.

Vacation Bible School

Provide leadership and care for a group of 10 to 12 children during VBS week (Jun. 17-21, 2019). Leaders reinforce the lessons taught through a variety of means and ensure timely and safe travel from station to station. Volunteer here or contact Children's Ministry Director Mary Wert for more information.







Worship Assistant

In addition to being available to assist worshippers with a variety of needs and collecting offerings, assist the pastors with baptisms, and Holy Communion, as scheduled. Contact Pr. Kennaugh to learn more.
