Giant Community Garage Sale 2024
Garage Sale Update
The 2024 Garage Sale has begun! Donations are welcomed as well as workers to help! Did you know that the garage sale funds are used for needed items around the church/school that just are not part of the annual budget? With your generous donations and your time helping the sale, these are some of the items the garage sale has been able to provide:
- New phone systems for the entire building
- Lots of new sound system equipment for both the gym and church
- Lawn care equipment
- Laptops for the entire staff
- Carpeting in church
- New secure doors
- Monitors around the church and school
- Lunch room tables
- Electronic sign in the front of church
- Equipment in the kitchen (commercial dishwasher, ice maker, etc)
- Electronic blinds in the gym
- All the metal chairs in the gym
- Donations to various sporting teams at Immanuel
- Enhanced building security
The funds from the 2024 garage sale are targeted for replacing the retention wall fencing.
The garage sale represents all of IMMANUEL – all of us! Your fellow members that volunteer are the faces of the garage sale – but it takes ALL of Immanuel to allow this HUGE outreach mission to occur. The garage sale is a HUGE commitment from the church/school/staff/congregational members! We use all the tables (and borrow from other Batavia entities), and space in the gym/fellowship hall/youth room/library for over 4 weeks during the summer. The garage sale not only purchases needed items, but we are an outreach to so many in our community. Thank-you in advance for your patience as all our facilities are used for this event which may mean your event location must be moved. Thank-you for volunteering your time to help and donating your unwanted items to be sold at this event. And thank-you for letting us represent you – IMMANUEL – at this wonderful outreach program that so many in this community look forward to every year.

Key Upcoming Dates:
Donation Drop-off: June 21, after 1 pm in the triangle
Setup: June 23rd, 6pm in the gym
Sorting and Setup: June 24-July 12, 8 am-4 pm weekends
Last Day to Donate: July 10
Early Shopping for Volunteers: July 17, 6-8 pm
(*8+ hours of volunteering required for early shopping)

July 18, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
July 19, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
July 20, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Cleanup: July 20, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
