3rd Grade Bible Event. Beginning around third grade, children can benefit from having their own personal study Bible. We want to partner with parents during this time to help their children grow in the Christian faith. At the beginning of each school year, Immanuel provides all families of third graders with Faith Alive Bibles. We do this ceremoniously during a church service by placing the Bible in the hands of the parents, who then place them in their children's hands. A parent and their child are then invited to a Bible Explorers Party where our ministry directors teach how to get the most out of their Bible, help kids make their own duct tape carrying cover, and play some fun Bible games.

Kids Sunday School K-5. Sundays 9:30 - 10:30 AM During the school year Immanuel offers Sunday School during the education hour. Digging Deeper with Kids is the format for kids K-5th Grade. We will dig deeper into God's Word as we study Epic Teachings of the Bible-The Ten Commandments. Your child will develop a closer relationship with Jesus and others as we hear about people in the Bible who went through some of the same uncertainties that we face today. The kids will learn to pray in many different ways to the God of Hope who is always with us and calms our fears. Join us on the journey! 2022-23 Sunday School will be starting back up Sep 11th! Register online here.

Preschool Sunday Sing & Play. Sundays 9:30 - 10:30 AM During the school year we offer Sunday School for preschoolers as well. This class is led by family ministry director, Kari Larsen. Stay with your preschooler to play, sing, hear a Bible story and make a craft together. This is a fun way to grow in faith together and meet other families. 2022-23 Sunday School will be starting back up Sep 11th! Register online here.

Sing & Play. Wednesdays 10:30 - 11:15 AM during the school year. Led by Kari Larsen, this free, drop-in, parent-toddler class is designed to build on the love between parent and child through interaction and cooperation with each other, the teacher and other children and their parents. No registration needed and siblings are welcome.

Sunday School Christmas Program. Around Christmas time, we welcome our Sunday School children in grades preschool through 5th grade to be a part of a Christmas program. NEW in 2022 we will be doing a Pop-Up Christmas Pageant; on Christmas Eve day at the 1:00 family service, children will have the opportunity to participate in the Christmas Story. Kids can dress up or help read the Christmas story. No practice necessary.

K and Pray. Children have open hearts when it comes to prayer. At Immanuel, we encourage and celebrate prayer in the life of kindergarten children and their families. Early October, all kindergarten families are invited to attend a worship service to receive a special blessing and prayer gift. That Sunday afternoon, we also invite Kindergarteners and their parents to join us for our K and Pray event. Parents and children enjoy a snack and some fun activities as our ministry team teaches them how to pray. They learn how to grow their prayer life and discover more about prayer together.

Vacation Bible School. Vacation Bible school is offered in mid-June each year.

Summer Park Play Dates. During the summer we schedule a few meetups at area parks to keep the kids entertained. Big Woods Park in Batavia and Peck Farm Park in Geneva are our favorites so far!
