Sabor Latino

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the day the Mexican army was victorious over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. On the same day in the United States, Generals McClellan and Longstreet fought the inconclusive Battle of Williamsburg during the American Civil War.

While a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has become a day to celebrate Mexican culture in America. The members of Iglesia Luterana San Pablo (Lutheran Church) in Aurora invite you to join them on this special holiday to celebrate the ministries of their church to the Hispanic community at Sabor Latino Dos (Latin Flavor) when it returns to Immanuel on Sun., May 5, 5-8 PM.

You will enjoy an authentic Latin cuisine experience, prepared and served by San Pablos members. Meanwhile, other members will share their testimonials and their music; Pastor Alex Merlo and others will provide updates on ministry emphases and outline the challenges ahead.
