This Giving Tuesday help us reach unchurched families in our community!
We understand that not everyone enjoys the classic form of music performed at our traditional church services. In fact, many youth and young families in our surrounding communities prefer the contemporary music like that played on today’s Christian radio stations. Because of Immanuel’s unique location nestled within residential neighborhoods, we believe that we provide a convenient location for local families to gather for worship, but we also need to provide the type of music that they like. That’s why we hired a new contemporary worship leader and are in the midst of plans for a new contemporary service.
Our goal is to provide a worship service with contemporary Christian music that is attractive and inspiring to our neighbors. We want to use this music to connect with people wherever they’re at spiritually.
Because of space constraints, this new contemporary service will need to be held in the gym. Used primarily for athletic activities, the gym is not exactly the ideal area for a worship service as is, but with the purchase of additional sound and visual equipment we can make significant improvements. We have collected some funds for this purpose at our annual garage sales, but after professional assessment, we realize that more funding is needed. So this giving Tuesday we’re asking for donations to fund the purchase of audio/visual equipment that is so important to the success of any contemporary service.

Prefer to support Immanuel youth directly? Our youth group will be traveling to Houston in 2022 for the triennial LCMS youth gathering. This gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.
