New Year 3

New Year 3

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed. . . (ESV)

Thought for Today

When was the last you made a genuinely new New Year’s resolution? Have you ever wondered why we make the same resolutions each year? The reason is because we know in our spirit who we are supposed to be. We have a longing to become the person God created us to be. So we take the opportunity each new year affords to resolve to be that person. Whether it is to be physically, mentally or spiritually fit, we continually resolve to be more of we know we need in our lives. So don’t get discouraged if you haven’t fulfilled last year’s resolutions and put them back on your list. If it is who God is calling you to be, keep at it. It is the only way to become all that you were created to be!

Holy Spirit, I know who You are calling me to be. Give me the strength and determination to grow more into that person in 2022. Amen.

I have never heard anything about the resolutions of the apostles, but a good deal about their acts. — Og Mandino
