Oct 2021 Trunk-or-Treat

Our first year of trunk-or-treat was a success! We ended up with 17 trunk volunteers; the amount of vehicles was a perfect fit for the school parking lot. About 100-200 kids with their parents stopped by for the festivities. It ended up being a chilly day, but that may have encouraged our friends and neighbors to stop by and make the short trek through the parking lot. Starting off with a cup of hot chocolate or cider, parents kept warm while they walked their kids through the "U" shaped journey of decorated trunks. Volunteers entertained our guests with fun and creative decorations and lots of treats. Many trunks followed the fall theme, while others portrayed Chick-fil-a cows, castles, Lion King, a pirate ship, Star Wars, and shepherds. If they weren't too cold after the walk through, several kids gathered in the center to play with friends. The winner of the best trunk award - the pirate ship created by the Cassidy's! Those that survived walking the plank over shark infested waters to grab their candy voted for the pirate ship:) Thanks to all the volunteers for their time and hard work putting these trunks together and serving treats!!
