The Promise Keeper 1
You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.
Thought for Today
The children of Israel struggled to trust God because no one had ever made them promises like God did. God promised to free them from captivity; to give them a land flowing with milk and honey; to drive out the people before when they got there. While the fulfillment of these great and precious promises was not always the way they expected, God never let them down. Consider your journey as a friend of God. While the way He has provided may not have been the way you expected, has He ever failed you? Think of 3 times that God took care of you in His own amazing and perfect way. Today we can rest in the truth that God always has and will keep His promises to you.
Loving Father, thank you for not only being a God who makes great promises, but a Friend who always keeps them. Help me today to trust that my whole life is in Your hands, and there is no better place for it to be. Amen.
God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises, leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.—Dietrich Bonhoeffer
