Altar Guild Meeting Sun Sep 28, 7:00 PM @Fellowship Hall

The altar guild will be meeting for the first time since Jan 2020! They would like to welcome anyone interested in serving to come out and meet the group. The guild works behind the scenes to prepare worship spaces for services held in the church, chapel, or gym. They are responsible for things like keeping the candles filled with oil, changing the paraments (banners) on the altars, vacuuming and dusting after services, etc. The group is divided into smaller serving teams; there are 3-4 people per serving team that meet every Sunday for one month to serve. The full group usually meets 3 times per year. He will teach us why God made creatures to bear His image, how we lost His image, how God revealed and imparted His image again in Jesus, and how this impacts every aspect of our lives today and the legacy we leave for the future. Lazarus House provides services to the homeless. On the third Friday of every month Immanuel provides meals to support this cause. Immanuel offers a free, drop-in, parent-toddler program Wednesdays 11:00 – 11:45 AM intended for children ages 18 months - preschool. Led by Bobbi Norkus, Sing & Play focuses on discovering new experiences and building skills through play. This class is designed to build on the love between parent and child through interaction and cooperation with each other, with the teacher, and with other children and their parents. Kids Sunday School is back! Sunday Oct 3, 9:15 - 10:15 AM

 Mark Your Calendars! Digging Deeper with Kids is back beginning Sun Oct. 3rd, 9:15-10:15 AM! For K-5th Grade we will dig deeper into God's Word as we study Epic Teachings of the Bible-The Ten Commandments. Your child will develop a closer relationship with Jesus and others as we hear about people in the Bible who went through some of the same uncertainties that we face today. The kids will learn to pray in many different ways to the God of Hope who is always with us and calms our fears. Join us on the journey! Sunday Sing & Play is the new format for Preschoolers; stay with your preschooler to play, sing, hear a Bible story and make a craft together. Grab a tag or two from the Giving Tree in the narthex. The confirmation kids would love to put some boxes together on a Wednesday night.
