Have you or someone you know experienced the death of a loved one? Are you stuck in your grief, unable to move beyond the deep sorrow and despair that accompanies the loss of a loved one? Are you functioning okay, but have lost all joy in life? If so, then GriefShare may be the place for you.
No, your life will never be the same as it was after losing that important person in your life, but God wants you to move forward from mourning to joy. There is hope, help, and healing in Jesus, and sometimes he uses his church and the support of others going through similar experiences to remind us of that.
GriefShare is a support group that is led by trained facilitators and uses a three part method to work through a broad range of topics related to grief. The three parts include a video segment featuring personal stories and expert advice from people who have walked through grief, group discussion, and at-home exercises connecting personal experiences with God’s word.
Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” --John 10:10 God does not promise an easy life free from sorrow and pain, but He does promise hope, healing, and most importantly, his presence in the midst of difficult times. If you are struggling with grief, consider joining GriefShare. For more information or to register for the class, complete and send the form below or call the Immanuel church office at 630 879 7163.
