GriefShare

Mondays, Sept. 11-Dec. 11, 6:30 PM Immanuel Library

Many people who lose a spouse, child, family member, or friend find that there aren’t many people who understand the deep hurt they feel. GriefShare is a program that was developed specifically to help those who are grieving the death of a loved one. It is a friendly and caring group of people who walk alongside one another through one of life’s most profound experiences. No one needs to travel the grief journey alone. GriefShare meets weekly to help individuals face the challenges of the grieving process and enables them to move forward by rebuilding their lives. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements:

· Video seminar with experts and everyday people who share their knowledge and experiences.

· Support group discussion focusing on the week’s video, allowing everyone to express their feelings while receiving help and comfort from others in the group.

· Personal study and reflection by taking time and effort to sort through emotions and what they are learning about themselves during their grief journey.

GriefShare is a Christ-centered program with direction and purpose. It helps individuals learn how to walk through their unique grief journey through the support they receive along the way. GriefShare is a place where hurting people find hope and healing.
