CONFIRMATION AND MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH

Confirmation is an affirmation of the promise parents made at baptism. It is a journey and a milestone in the faith life of Lutheran Christians. It is not the end of a one’s faith journey, rather a step along the way. Confirmation is a time of personal confession of the faith and making the baptismal promise one’s own.

Confirmation

Wednesdays, Sept. 6-Apr. 18

No class during Advent and Lent

Parents of confirmation students make regular worship with the family a priority as role models of the Christian lifestyle. It is also requested that they ensure their student arrives on time for class and pray for all of the confirmation students and their teachers. Parents also serve as helpers in a variety of ways, which ensures good stewardship of resources and is another opportunity to model Christian behavior. Students receive complete details and expectations at the required Confirmation Orientation meetings offered on Wed., Aug. 23 or Wed., Aug. 30, 6:30 PM in the sanctuary.

Wednesday 678

Wednesday 678 is a time for fellowship that includes activities that help students connect and apply the concepts gathered during classroom discussions to their everyday lives.
