Sunday School

SUNDAYS, 9:30 AM BEGINNING AUG. 27

Families are important to Immanuel and the church wants to support the parents’ role as children’s spiritual leaders. Research shows that the most powerful influence on children’s faith development is the conversation about faith that takes place in the home. Parents can make a huge contribution to their child’s Christian growth by leading activities and discussions that make connections and apply what’s learned at church to daily life. Parents are invited to participate in the Sunday Education Hour or any of Immanuel’s weekly Bible studies and cover the same information as the children. This is a great way to initiate discussions about Sunday School and what they are learning about Jesus. Click here for the PDF of the 2017 2018 Children's Ministries guide. The PDF children's registration form is available here (one per family). Click here to register children online (one per child). Early Communion

WEDNESDAYS, OCT. 4-25, 6:15 PM

Communion is a gift of God where He promises His forgiveness and His physical presence. Jesus established Communion with His disciples and called them to remember Him through this Sacrament. As followers of Christ, we prepare to receive the blessing God has for us in Communion.

At Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, we offer First Communion classes for the purpose of teaching and equipping baptized believers grade five and above to receive Holy Communion. Children and parents take this time preparation to help children grow in faith and knowledge of what the sacrament of Communion means for their lives. This class prepares students to receive Communion in a worthy manner. (1 Cor. 11:27)

This four-week class will assist parents in raising their children in accordance with the Word of God. At least one parent is required to attend classes with the student. Click here for the PDF copy of the 2017 2018 Children's Ministries guide. Register children at the same time as Sunday School registration or download the PDF registration here.
