THEOLOGY ON TAP

SECOND AND FOURTH MONDAYS AT CROSSTOWN GRILL & PUB, BATAVIA

On the second  Monday of each month members of Immanuel will gather at a local watering hole for a time of fellowship and relevant theological discussion. The topics will often deal with current events, considering how the issue impacted the Church in Luther’s day, what the good Doctor had to say about it, and then dovetailing into a conversation about how it is impacting the Church today. Bring your Bible, order a pint, and join the conversation.

DISCOVERING IMMANUEL

SUNDAYS AT NOON, AS SCHEDULED

CHILDCARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST

Discovering Immanuel guides participants through considering membership in the Immanuel community to active and intentional participation. Discovering Immanuel covers the information necessary to become an active and engaged participant and is essential to understand for those interested in membership. The class will also meet with an active and mature member of Immanuel who can answer questions and help make connections. Finally, the class will have the opportunity to get to know key ministry leaders and learn about entry level ministry opportunities to consider. The class covers "What is the Bible and Why Should I Trust it?" " Who is God?" "What is Salvation and How does it Work?" "God’s Gifts: the Sacraments," and "Why Should I Belong to a Church?"
