Where is God when bad things happen? This is one of the central questions in the Book of Esther. As the people of Israel are threatened, they seek a hero (or heroine) who will intercede for them. The Book of Esther is an exciting account of how God uses an unlikely champion who, like Jesus, is willing to die for her people and is an advocate on their behalf. Come Wednesdays at 7 AM or 7 PM, Jun. 7 through Aug. 9, to study the Book of Esther together.
Pastor Kennaugh is leading an exciting chronological study of the Word of God from Genesis through Revelation with The Gospel Project. The Gospel Project provides a three-year journey through the Word of God that focuses on three critical aspects of each text we encounter. First, it draws out the rich lessons God is teaching in the text. Second, it places the text within the framework of God’s plan of Salvation in Jesus Christ, which is the overarching story of the Bible. Third, it pauses to examine critical Christian doctrine drawn from each section of Scripture. The curriculum not only provides resources to guide our discussions from week to week, but also a personal study guide that allows those who want to go even deeper a chance to engage the texts on a daily basis. I hope you will consider joining us on an amazing journey through the Word of God.
Lysa TerKeurst knows what it’s like to consider God just another thing on her to-do list. For years she went through the motions of a Christian life: Go to church. Pray. Be nice. She longed for a deeper connection between what she knew in her head and her everyday reality, and she wanted to personally experience God’s presence.

Finally, you will be introduced to key ministry leaders and entry level ministry opportunities to consider.

Discovering Immanuel is a great starting point for everyone! I hope you will consider attending.
This fall the men of Immanuel will be studying the Gospel of John. The Gospel of John provides a wonderful opportunity to sit with the disciples at the feet of Jesus as He engages in powerful conversations with the people He encounters. This study is designed to be conversational in style and the content accessible whether you are a Bible novice or expert. Come meet other men from Immanuel who are seeking to know and follow Jesus more nearly.
On the second Monday of each month members of Immanuel will gather at a local watering hole for a time of fellowship and relevant theological discussion. The topics will often deal with current events, considering how the issue impacted the Church in Luther’s day, what the good Doctor had to say about it, and then dovetailing into a conversation about how it is impacting the Church today. Bring your Bible, order a pint, and join the conversation.
